March 26-28 – Hill Billy Hoe Down
Well butter my butt, and call me a biscuit! You missed a hoot of a good time at our annual Hill Billy Hoe Down. The night was kicked off in style by the skit "There's A Hole in the Bucket" performed by Bobby and Brenda Parks (pictured below). Ever had a hill billy hair cut? Well I'm sure Jimmy Lewis regrets stopping in to Ray "Whizzer Hands" for a trim! Waiting patiently for a cut while reading the local paper and Cosmo magazine are Wayne Albert and Kenny Towers (all pictured below). Are you a game show fan, well you certainly missed a good time at our Hilly Billy Feud Face Off. Contestants Alissa Bishop and Diane Murphy answered questions such as Beverly Hill Billy Trivia while there husbands faced the firing squad of water guns by Carrie Brown and friend for all their wives wrong answers! The teens couldn't be outdone as Samantha Towers and Terry Strong Jr. faced off. Then, for our listening pleasure, the Junkyard band performed numbers such as the Jed Clamplett theme song and Hill Billy Bone. Band members included Wayne Albert, Brenda Parks, Bobby Parks, Mitchell Selby, Charlotte Selby and Ray Barker. A fun time was had by all! Ya'll come next year, ya hear?!?

April 9-11 – Ocean Rv’s 6th Annual Delmarva Jamboree and Pig Roast
Ocean RV Center out of Ocean View Delaware co-sponsored the 6th Annual Delmarva Jamboree and Pig Roast. This years event proved to be bigger and better than ever, packing the campground without a spare site to be found! One of the owners of Ocean RV Center, Scott Hemphill, was onsite with several new camping units on display while the other owner, Jeff, held down the fort at the dealership in Ocean View. Several of the children (and some adults who thought they were still kids!!) enjoyed the inflatable obstacle course pictured below. The Pig Roast held on Saturday was once again, a huge success, serving over 370 people in under 45 minutes!! The Pig was prepared on-site by Emings Catering. The evening proved to be equally as successful as the crowd gathered under the tent to dance and enjoy the music played by the band, Barren Creek. We would like to once again thank John and Teresa Adams of Pocomoke, MD for having a back-yard conversation six years ago about "trying to get a few camping friends together for a fun weekend" which has now developed into a sold-out event enjoyed by all!

Thank you to all the truck camper dealers that were on-site with new units on display!! A three day action filled agenda included Seminars presented by special guest, Full-time RVer and explorer, Brian Brawdy (pictured below). The Big Red Bull food catering truck provided great food throughout the event. Once again, we were fortunate to have Truck Camper Magazine on-site covering the event as well. The closing event on Saturday night was packed with awesome prizes, raffles and give aways. A special thank you goes out to Ron and Michelle Humphress (event coordinators) for all their hard work!!
